2. September 2025 Updates
- Annual Parish Picnic - A Note of Thanks: It was a joy to come together as one parish family for our wonderful Parish Picnic on Saturday, September 20, 2025. By the grace of God, everything went very smoothly, and we couldn't be more grateful. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to making the day such a success - we truly appreciate your participation and support. Special thanks to parish council member Lincy Mathew, who led the picnic committee; to Benny Vadakemuriyil for preparing the delicious porotta; to Tomy Madathummuriyil for preparing the tasty beef curry; to our Trustees and Parish Council members for coordinating the efforts; and to all who helped in one way or another. Your efforts made this event truly memorable!
- IPTF Award Ceremony: We had a beautiful IPTF 2025 award ceremony on Sunday, September 14, 2025. Thanks to all the coordinators, participants, and volunteers who made the event a success.
- Opportunity for Girls as Altar Servers: We would like to add girls from CCD grades V to XII to the Altar Servers team. Those who are interested may submit their names to Rev. Sr. Sneha.
- CML Meeting: The monthly CML meeting will take place on Sunday, September 28, 2025, following the second Holy Qurbana. All CML members are kindly requested to attend and pick up their T-shirts for the anniversary celebration on October 4, 2025, at St. Alphonsa Syro-Malabar Catholic Church in Coppell.
- Didache - Theology Program: A new batch of the Didache - Theology Program will be commencing in the East Zone on September 28, 2025. Those interested in enrolling are kindly asked to reach out to the East Zone Coordinator or complete their registration via the link below.

- Mathru Jyothis Announcement:

- Ladies Outing: The Mathru Jyothis ladies outing will be on Saturday, September 27, 2025, after the Holy Qurbana. Please sign up.

- Monthly Meeting: The Mathru Jyothis monthly meeting will be held on Sunday, September 28, 2025, immediately after the first Holy Qurbana in the parish hall. Our Vicar, Rev. Fr. Siby Sebastian, will also be present.

- Charity Fundraising: The St. Thomas Mathru Jyothis Charity Fundraising ONAM SADHYA will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025, starting at 11:30 am. Tickets are $25 per person.

- St. Thomas Revival: The St. Thomas Revival will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm for a social gathering to reconnect, revive, and renew our St. Thomas community.

Note: Many of us know that several graduates of our CCD program, now settled in Dallas, aren't returning to our church. Why is that? They may have their own reasons, and perhaps there are changes they’d like to see at St. Thomas.
To address this, we’re inviting all primarily English-speaking youth and adults to the St. Thomas Revival Social Event on November 8, 2025, in Jubilee Hall. This will be an opportunity to discuss why some may not be coming back and explore ideas on what could help bring them back more consistently. Parents, please encourage your children who live in Dallas but attend a Latin church to join us. Young adults, please spread the word to your friends as well. We look forward to hearing your thoughts!

You can view your family details, church contributions, tax statements, CCD registration, and more. If you are unable to access ParishOnNet, please contact the Trustees.
- Church Payments via Zelle: If you choose to make payments to the church via Zelle, please use payst.thomasgarland@gmail.com as the recipient email. Also, include the purpose of the payment and your parish Family ID number to help us accurately identify and process your payment.
- Offertory Collection: When placing your offertory collection in the envelope, please ensure that you write your Family ID number and clearly state the intended purpose of your donation.
- Church/Parish Hall Booking: To secure a booking for the church or parish hall for any purpose, individuals must complete the required form available at the Parish Trustees' Office.
