1. Holy Qurbana
Sunday:
8:30 am: Holy Qurbana in Malayalam
10:30 am: Holy Qurbana in English
Weekdays:
Tuesday, August 15th is a day of obligation. We will have Holy Qurbana at 8:30 am and also 7:00 pm, please plan to attend.
Wednesday through Thursday: Holy Qurbana at 8:30 am.
Friday: Eucharistic adoration from 6:00 pm to 6:45 pm, followed by St. Jude's Novena and Holy Qurbana. Confessions from 6:05 pm - 6:40 pm.
Saturday: Holy Qurbana at 8:30 am, followed by the Novena to Our Lady of Perpetual Help. Eucharistic adoration will be from 9:45 am to 11 am.
Note: Those attending Holy Qurbana are requested to follow CDC guidelines to protect yourselves and others. Please contact achan for any questions or concerns.
2. August 2023 Highlights
- CCD Updates:
- CCD classes for the academic year 2023-2024 will begin on Sunday, August 20th at 8:30 am.
- There will be a meeting of all CCD students' parents on August 27th.
- Holy Qurbana Intention Request: If you would like to offer Holy Qurbana, there is a Holy Qurbana intention slip kept in the church narthex. Please complete it and submit it to James achan.
- IPSF (Inter Parish Sports Festival) 2024: St. Joseph Church, Houston has made the decision to host IPSF 2024. We need 2 coordinators from our parish. If you are interested, please write your name in the parish office logbook before August 20th. There will be a meeting of all the coordinators on August 27th.

3. Eucharistic Revival updates

- Eucharistic adoration: As part of the Parish Level Eucharistic Revival, we will have an additional Eucharistic adoration on Saturday, August 19th from 9:45 am to 11 am. Your presence is encouraged, as it will provide an opportunity for spiritual strengthening.
4. Safe Environment Updates
- Ongoing VIRTUS training is being conducted for new CCD teachers/volunteers. The initial training session concluded on August 12th. There is another session scheduled for August 20th. We extend our gratitude to the CCD ministry for their ongoing support.
- One of the best ways we can help children recover from abuse is to listen to them when they disclose sexual abuse to us, to believe them and to take action by making a report to the authorities. However, it can take time for a child to disclose if they are being abused and it is often done in stages that we might miss if we aren't paying attention.
