1. Holy Qurbana Schedule
Sunday:
- 8:30 am: Holy Qurbana in Malayalam. CCD at 8:30 am.
- 10:30 am: Holy Qurbana in English.
Weekdays:
- Tuesday through Thursday: Holy Qurbana at 8:30 am.
- Friday: Eucharistic Adoration from 6:00 pm to 6:50 pm, followed by St. Jude's Novena and Holy Qurbana. Confession hours are from 6:00 pm - 6:40 pm.
- Saturday: Holy Qurbana at 8:30 am, followed by the Novena to Our Lady of Perpetual Help.
2. January 2025 Updates
- James Achan on Vacation: James Achan will be on vacation in Kerala from January 20 to February 13, 2025. In his absence, please contact our Kaikkarans for any church-related needs. Rev. Fr. Binesh Mathew will be here during this time.
- Holy Qurbana at the UTD Catholic Center: This Wednesday, January 29, 2025, there will be a Holy Qurbana at the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) Catholic Center, starting at 7:00 pm. Rev. Fr. Binesh Mathew will be the main celebrant. We encourage all college youth to attend and participate in this joyous celebration.
- IPTF 2025 Kickoff: The Inter-Parish Talent Fest (IPTF) kickoff was held on Sunday, January 26, 2025, in the Parish Hall at 9:45 am. Thank you to everyone who joined us at the Parish Hall to show your support and make it a success.
- 2024 Tax Statement: The 2024 tax statement can be printed from ParishOnNet. If you are unable to print your statement, please contact the Kaikkarans in the church office for assistance.
- Church Payments via Zelle: If you choose to make payments to the church via Zelle, please use payst.thomasgarland@gmail.com as the recipient email. Also, include the purpose of the payment and your parish Family ID number to help us accurately identify and process your payment.
- ParishOnNet Access: According to diocesan guidelines, we have initiated access to ParishOnNet for all parishioners. To access ParishOnNet for our church, please click on the ParishOnNet link. You can review your family details and church contribution statements through ParishOnNet.
3. Upcoming Events
- Lenten Retreat: The 2025 Lenten retreat is scheduled for April 11, 12, and 13. The retreat will be led by Rev. Dr. Thomas Karimundackal, S.J.
- Founding Members' Recognition in the Jubilee Year: 2025 marks the Jubilee year of the Chicago Diocese. There will be a gathering of the founding members of our parish on Sunday, April 27, led by Bishop Emeritus Jacob Angadiath.
- Diocesan Eucharistic Congress: The first ever Syro Malabar Diocesan Eucharistic Congress will take place during Memorial Day weekend, May 23-25, 2025, at St. Thomas Syro Malabar Catholic Church in Somerset, NJ. We encourage you to register for this event and join others in prayer, reflection, and worship as we celebrate our unity in Christ. - First Holy Communion: The Solemn First Holy Communion for the children will be on Saturday, May 31, 2025.
