1. Holy Qurbana Schedule
Sunday:
8:30 am: Holy Qurbana in Malayalam and CCD.
10:30 am: Holy Qurbana in English.
Weekdays:
Tuesday through Thursday: Holy Qurbana at 8:30 am.
Friday: Eucharistic adoration from 6:00 pm to 6:50 pm, followed by St. Jude's Novena and Holy Qurbana. Confessions from 6:00 pm - 6:45 pm.
Saturday: Holy Qurbana at 8:30 am, followed by the Novena to Our Lady of Perpetual Help.
2. April 2024 Updates
- James Achan's Vacation: Achan is on vacation in India from April 15th to May 16th. Fr. Santhosh Adhikarathil is here for a month to assist with parish activities while James Achan is in India. If anyone has any church-related needs during this time, please reach out to the Kaikkarans, who will organize and address your needs accordingly.
- Rosary Recital: Mathru Jyothis is doing an "Aayiram Mani Japamala" (thousand bead rosary) this Friday, April 26th from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm for the intention of world peace, followed by adoration and Holy Qurbana.
- Church Contributions: Parishioners who have forgotten their monthly/yearly church contributions from previous years, please pay the dues as early as possible. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact one of our Kaikkarans.
- With our "ParishOnNet" software in place, we can easily answer everyone's questions on their contributions.
- Parish Council Meeting Decision: The parish council meeting held on last Sunday, April 14th, unanimously decided that those parishioners who are in the Church Committee, CCD Teachers, Choir Members, Senior Ministry Committee Members, Mathru Jyothis Committee Members, St. Vincent D'Paul Committee Members and other church leaders of various activities should be Role Models of the church and maintain their monthly/yearly pledges and pay the previous year's balances if any. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact one of our Kaikkarans.
- Young Couple's Seminar: The young couple's one-day seminar is on Saturday, April 27th, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm at the church and parish hall (Holy Mass, Adoration, Confession, etc. are in church and class with projector, question and answer and discussion are in the parish hall). - Senior Ministry is conducting an educational talk by Sr. Tessy Churanadu on Sunday, April 28th, at the parish hall from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. Seminar topic is "Aging Gracefully". All the parishioners are welcomed to attend the talk.
- Movie Collection: Last Sunday, April 14th, for the movie "The Hope" we collected $2,750.00.
- Parking lot construction project: The General Body approved to proceed with the parking lot construction project and raise the needed funds. The estimated cost for the 100-space parking lot exceeds $500,000. We kindly request your cooperation and prayers as we aim to complete the project before our Parish Feast/Perunnal. Please get in touch with our Kaikkarans (Trustees) if you are available to assist with the parking lot project.

- Those families who haven't yet contributed to Parish Hall and Church construction are expected to contribute more to this project.
- The rest of the families are requested to contribute a minimum of $1,000 or above for this project.
- Those contributing $3,000 or more towards this project would have their names written on the designated parking spots, and those sponsors who prefer not to display their names also have that option.
- There are other things to consider along with the parking lot project; create a walkway in front of the church for the feast procession, place a signboard with visible mass timing, and a playground.
- The crying room and chapel are designated for parents attending with small children. Others, please use the main church for Mass on Sundays and special occasions.
- Church/Parish Hall Booking: To secure a booking for the church or parish hall for various purposes, individuals must complete the necessary form from the parish trustees' office.
- For year-end financial statements, please contact the Trustees.
- Please include your church registration number in the check as part of the memo when you write checks to the church.
- If you choose to make church payments via Zelle, please email payst.thomasgarland@gmail.com. In the email, include the purpose of the payment and your parish account number. This information will assist in identifying your payment and streamline the accounting process.
3. Upcoming Events
- First Holy Communion: The Solemn First Holy Communion for the children is on Saturday, May 18, 2024.
- CCD Day: is on Sunday, May 19th with only one Holy Qurbana at 8:30 am. The CCD exam will be on Sunday, May 5th. Please prepare the CCD students for their final exam.
- 2024 Syro Summit: Seize the unique opportunity to participate in the 2024 Syro Summit: "Christ is our Hope," designed for youth aged 21-35, in Baltimore from June 27-30. Ensure your early reservation and become an integral part of this enriching experience. For details about this event, please click Syro Summit 2024.
- St. Thomas Feast Day (Thirunnal): The Thirunnal will be celebrated from Friday, July 5th through Sunday, July 7th. St. Thomas Feast Family night is on Friday, July 5th. - Parish Picnic: Our Parish Picnic is scheduled for Saturday, October 19th.
4. IPSF 2024: Inter Parish Sports Festival
- IPSF 2024 in Houston: Mr. Cherian Churanadu and Mrs. Biji Edward have been appointed as coordinators for IPSF.
