2. November 2025 Updates
- Jubilee Celebrations / Convention Kick-Off - A Note of Thanks

- Our church joyfully celebrated the Diocesan Silver Jubilee and the Episcopal Ordination Jubilee of Bishop Emeritus Mar Jacob Angadiath on Sunday, October 26, 2025. The day also included the 80th birthday celebration of Bishop Mar Jacob Angadiath, and the 2026 Jubilee Convention kick-off.

- Heartfelt thanks to everyone who made this joyous celebration memorable. Special appreciation to Parish Council member Josey Angilivelil and team for leading the efforts, to our Trustees and Parish Council members for their coordination, and to all who contributed in one way or another. Your dedication and spirit of service made this event truly special!
- Church Parking Lot Groundbreaking Ceremony: We had a simple groundbreaking ceremony for the new church parking lot, led by our beloved Bishop Mar Jacob Angadiath. Construction has already begun.

- We encourage all parishioners, especially those who joined after the church was built, to extend their financial support for this project. Sponsorship opportunities are available: $3,000 to sponsor a single parking spot, with your name displayed on it, or $1,000 per family.
- Church Pledge Statement Distribution: We kindly request all parishioners with pending pledges to make their payments as soon as possible. The suggested amount is $1,200 per family. Statements are ready and can be collected from your Parish Council members or the Trustees.
- New Parish Council Member Selection (2026-2027)

- The selection of new parish council members will be completed by the end of November 2025. Nomination forms have been sent to ward members, and youth representatives are also needed.

- Our Vicar, Rev. Fr. Siby Sebastian, will be present at each ward meeting during this selection process. Each ward will select one ward representative and one ministry coordinator. The ward divisions for South Garland and Sunnyvale will be finalized during these meetings.

- St. Thomas Revival: The St. Thomas Revival will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm in the Jubilee Hall. It will be a social gathering to reconnect, revive, and renew our St. Thomas community. Parents are kindly asked to encourage their young adults to participate.

- CML Monthly Meeting: The Cherupuzhpa Mission League (CML) monthly meeting will be held on Sunday, November 9, 2025, in the Jubilee Hall immediately after the second Holy Qurbana at 10:30 am. All CML members are requested to attend. CCD students in Grade 4 and above are also welcome to join CML.
- Dei Verbum Bible Quiz: The preliminary Dei Verbum Bible Quiz will be held on November 22, 2025. Please see the details below.

- As part of the upcoming Dei Verbum Bible Quiz, all CCD students (Grade 4 and above), as well as adult and senior citizen participants, are required to have an active SpeedExam account to participate in this year’s quiz.

- IPSF Soccer Team Selection: The Inter-Parish Sports Festival (IPSF) soccer team selection will begin soon. Those who wish to participate are requested to fill out the registration form, which is available in the Jubilee Hall.
3. Upcoming Events
- FLAME 2026: FLAME 2026 is a regional conference hosted by DYA South for college/post-graduate age students. It will be held January 2-5, 2026, at Trinity Pines Conference Center in Trinity, Texas (near Houston). Regular registration ends on October 5, 2025, and late registration ends on October 31, 2025. - Jubilee Convention 2026: Our diocese is preparing for the Syro-Malabar Convention 2026, which will be held at McCormick Place, Chicago, July 9-12, 2026. We encourage everyone to participate in this special Jubilee Convention. Please register as soon as possible. A committee is available to assist you - please contact them if you need any help.
