2. October 2025 Updates
- Mathru Jyothis Charity Fundraising: The St. Thomas Mathru Jyothis Charity Fundraising Onam Sadhya will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025, starting at 11:30 am. Tickets are $25 per person.

- This year, the profit from the Onam Sadhya will go towards a noble cause, supporting five deacons in financial need as they prepare for their ordination. We sincerely request your cooperation and support to make this effort a success.
- World Mission Sunday: We will observe World Mission Sunday at our church on October 19, 2025. There will be only one Holy Qurbana at 8:30 am, and no CCD classes that day.

- After the Holy Qurbana, an auction will take place, so please remember to bring your contributions and auction items. CCD children will conduct various booths for sale. Parents, please support the children in bringing items and actively participating in the Mission Sunday activities. Let us offer our prayers and support for missionaries around the world.
- Parish Council Meeting: The next Parish Council meeting will be held on Sunday, October 19, 2025, after the Holy Qurbana.
- Certificate Ceremony for Theology Graduates: We have a batch of theologians who have completed their course. There will be a certificate ceremony for our Theology graduates on Sunday, October 19, 2025, after the Holy Qurbana. Let us come together in prayer and support to celebrate this important achievement in their spiritual journey.
- Couple's Retreat: We’re excited to invite all married couples to our Couple’s Retreat (English). This is a beautiful opportunity to reconnect with your spouse, reflect on your marriage, and grow deeper in Christ. Let’s grow together in love and in Christ.

- Jubilee Convention Kick-Off: The Kick-Off of the diocesan Silver Jubilee and the Episcopal Ordination Jubilee of Bishop Emeritus Mar Jacob Angadiath will be held at our church on Sunday, October 26, 2025. We warmly invite everyone to join us for this special prayerful celebration of gratitude!

3. Upcoming Events
- St. Thomas Revival: The St. Thomas Revival will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm in the Jubilee Hall. It will be a social gathering to reconnect, revive, and renew our St. Thomas community. Parents are kindly asked to encourage their young adults to participate.

Note: Many of us know that several graduates of our CCD program, now settled in Dallas, aren't returning to our church. Why is that? They may have their own reasons, and perhaps there are changes they’d like to see at St. Thomas.
To address this, we’re inviting all primarily English-speaking youth and adults to the St. Thomas Revival Social Event on November 8, 2025, in Jubilee Hall. This will be an opportunity to discuss why some may not be coming back and explore ideas on what could help bring them back more consistently. Parents, please encourage your children who live in Dallas but attend a Latin church to join us. Young adults, please spread the word to your friends as well. We look forward to hearing your thoughts!
- FLAME 2026: FLAME 2026 is a regional conference hosted by DYA South for college/post-graduate age students. It will be held January 2-5, 2026, at Trinity Pines Conference Center in Trinity, Texas (near Houston). Regular registration ends on October 5, 2025, and late registration ends on October 31, 2025. - Church Payments via Zelle: If you choose to make payments to the church via Zelle, please use payst.thomasgarland@gmail.com as the recipient email. Also, include the purpose of the payment and your parish Family ID number to help us accurately identify and process your payment.
- Offertory Collection: When placing your offertory collection in the envelope, please ensure that you write your Family ID number and clearly state the intended purpose of your donation.
- Church/Parish Hall Booking: To secure a booking for the church or parish hall for any purpose, individuals must complete the required form available at the Parish Trustees' Office.
